Middle market private equity firm Peak Rock Capital has appointed Carsten Beck as a Principal in its Brussels, Belgium office. In this role, Beck will oversee the firm’s business development group in Europe, helping to manage relationships and oversee the firm’s transaction sourcing efforts in the region.
Peak Rock has experienced tremendous growth since closing its inaugural fund in 2013. The Firm has since completed ten platform acquisitions and has hired twenty-five investment professionals in North America and Europe. “We are extremely proud of the outstanding team of professionals that we have built," says Anthony DiSimone, Chief Executive Officer of Peak Rock. In 2014, Peak Rock opened its European affiliate, Peak Rock Capital Europe SPRL, in Brussels, Belgium. The office is focused on identifying European companies that fit Peak Rockกฏs investment strategy, assisting with cross-border acquisition opportunities, and supporting Peak Rockกฏs North American based portfolio companies with European expansion.

Beck was most recently a Director at Barclaysกฏ Investment Banking Division in London where he led numerous public and private transactions in the manufacturing space. Prior to joining Barclays, Beck was a Vice President with Goldman, Sachs & Co in Frankfurt and New York, advising on a range of M&A transactions across various industries. He began his career with McKinsey & Company in Germany. Beck received a masterก’s degree in industrial engineering from Columbia University, a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mannheim, Germany, and a bachelor’s degree of business administration from Ecole Superieure de Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC), France.
