PEFOX releases version 2.0 of PEFOX Library software

PEFOX, a private equity secondaries advisor headquartered in London, has released the second generation of its PEFOX Library software.

The Library was first launched in early 2016 and provides investors with access to a database of current and historic secondaries pricing data on one hundred major private funds globally. This includes funds managed by groups such as Blackstone, Carlyle and TPG as well as smaller, regional managers.

The latest version of the software includes the largest known secondaries transaction database, with over 10,000 confirmed trades from 1998, alongside fund performance data on over 3,300 private equity funds globally.

Commenting on the upgraded software, Kilshore Kansal, Managing Partner of PEFOX, says: “These enhancements now position PEFOX as the leading provider of secondaries market transactional and pricing data. We have coverage of the full value chain of data: from the performance of funds through to their secondaries pricing levels and even legal completion documents such as SPAs. All of this is provided entirely free of charge to our clients.

“We are uniquely positioned as a leading secondaries advisor and a leading source of market data. Many of our LP clients are experienced secondaries market players and are often buyers as well as sellers. This means that more and more the value that we add through our advisory services has to be underpinned with tangible data points, sophisticated tools and analytical research.”
