Petra Funds Group (Petra), an independent private funds administrator, has appointed Mark Lacana as managing director and head of business development, with a primary focus on middle-market private equity and private debt funds.
With over two decades of experience building and expanding fintech companies within the private funds industry, Petra says Lacana’s extensive background in business acquisition, sales process enablement and relationship management will “play a crucial role in executing the firm’s growth strategy”.
Prior to joining Petra, Lacana served as chief revenue officer at Fund Recs, where he successfully executed the company’s go-to-market strategy, identifying new revenue streams and driving market share growth. He also held prominent positions, including head of global sales at AltaReturn (now part of Allvue Systems) and vice president of sales at TheNextRound, Inc (now part of SS&C Technologies).
