Polsinelli, an Am Law 100 firm, has added Daniel L McAvoy to its team in New York as a Shareholder in the firm’s Securities & Corporate Finance practice.
McAvoy’s practice focuses on private closed-end investment funds, corporate finance, securities regulation and M&A with a particular specialisation in private investment fund transactions, including complex GP-led restructurings and secondary transactions. His experience also includes guiding overseas fund managers in entering US markets. In addition to his practice involving investment advisers, fund sponsors and investors, McAvoy has extensive experience counselling clients in M&A and securities transactions with a US or regulatory component.

McAvoy earned his JD from New York University and his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Securities Regulation Committee and Private Investment Funds Subcommittee as well as the International Bar Association.
