Priority Power acquires Texas Power Consultants

Priority Power Management, an independent energy management services and consulting firm, has acquired Texas Power Consultants (TPC). TPC, headquartered in Tyler, Texas, offers energy advisory and consulting services to electric retail customers in East Texas and beyond. The addition of TPC will strengthen Priority’s portfolio buying power for its customers, and increase its geographic footprint into the East Texas region with the addition of TPC’s long-time and high-quality client base. Further, the acquisition will enhance Priority’s ability to leverage its deep experience and resources to guide customers through the energy transition, managing energy costs while utilising technologies such as demand response, resiliency, solar, and even batteries to achieve a lower carbon footprint and energy spend.

“I have known and respected Jack and Victor, the Founders/Principals of TPC, for over 20 years going back to when we worked together at TXU, Oncor and its regulated predecessor companies before deregulation,” says John Bick, Managing Principal at Priority. “TPC holds the same values as Priority in putting the customer first by maintaining objectivity and ensuring a high level of ongoing service. I am confident that we will further enhance the experience for TPC’s customers as they access Priority’s expanded service offerings and deep experience.”

Jack Bailey, Co-Founder and Principal of TPC, says: “I am excited to join forces with Priority Power to combine our resources to provide a broadened range of services for our customers. I could not be prouder of our accomplishments to date and am extremely excited for what the future holds.”

Victor Davis, Co-Founder and Principal of TPC, says: “Our customers are our #1 priority and we could not be more enthusiastic about the integrity, expertise, and experience that they will gain through our new partnership with the Priority team.”

Priority is backed by Ara Partners, a private equity firm specialising in industrial decarbonisation investments in the industrial & manufacturing, chemicals & materials, energy efficiency & green fuels and food & agriculture sectors.
