Pritzker Group acquires medical device manufacturer Clinical Innovations

Chicago-based private investment firm The Pritzker Group has acquired Clinical Innovations, a medical device maker specialising in healthcare solutions for women and their infants.

The acquisition is the firm’s first in the healthcare field.

The Pritzker Group acquired the Utah-based medical device maker from RoundTable Healthcare Partners, a private equity firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry.

Clinical Innovations develops, manufactures and markets medical devices with particular emphasis on healthcare solutions for women and their infants.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

“Clinical Innovations represents an exciting opportunity for The Pritzker Group,” says Tony Pritzker, Los Angeles-based managing partner of the firm. “We are looking forward to partnering with the management team and employees of Clinical Innovations as they expand on their successful track record of developing products and healthcare solutions for women and their infants.”

Tony Pritzker will serve as Clinical Innovations’ new chairman and J.B. Pritzker will also serve on the company’s board. Mark King will continue to serve in his current role as chief executive.

“We’re truly excited about working with The Pritzker Group and look forward to the opportunities this partnership will afford us to grow our company,” says King. “Clinical Innovations remains committed to developing state-of-the-art products to meet the needs of clinicians in the women’s health sector.”
