CapitalValue, an Englewood, Colorado-based boutique investment bank, has announced the recapitalisation of Wazee Electric, which distributes products and provides services for industrial motors and cranes, and operates throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
CapitalValue served as the exclusive adviser to Wazee in a generational transfer financed by private equity firms Gemini Investors and Socius Capital. Founded in Denver in 1921, the company has developed a broad customer base in a diverse range of industries through its crane, motor repair and wind three divisions.
‘The level of service and knowledge that CapitalValue was able to provide made the overall transaction a success,’ says Wazee Electric owner Curt Armstrong. ‘It was important to me to make sure that my son, Trevor (Armstrong), and his new financing partner was as focused on the employees, our customers, and our continued success as I was. CapitalValue made that happen through their process.’
Gemini Investors is a Massachusetts-based private equity firm, while Socius Capital is a private equity firm with operations in Colorado and California.
