Sustainable Development Capital (SDCL) has appointed Philip Doyle, a 20-year energy transition and infrastructure investment industry veteran, as Co-Fund Manager of the Green Energy Solutions Fund (GESF) and Managing Director of its Dublin office.
Most recently, Doyle headed up the team for AMP Capital, which managed the €750m Irish Infrastructure Fund. He was responsible for leading fundraising, investment, asset management and asset sales activity, as well as delivering the fund’s successful exit of all assets and return of capital in 2023.
Prior to AMP Capital, Doyle held senior management positions at Ireland-based power utility ESB and Econergy International, where he advised the World Bank Group, the United Nations and other multilateral/bilateral development banks and agencies on the creation of financing mechanisms which promoted energy efficiency, renewable energy and carbon emission reduction projects.
