Sequoia Economic Infrastructure Income Fund (SEQI), the FTSE250 specialist economic infrastructure lender, has made a GBP60 million investment in LightSpeed Broadband, the Internet Service Provider.
The new investment will accelerate the construction of LightSpeed’s FTTP multi-gigabit broadband network to 25 towns across the East of England, with the company’s aim of becoming the region’s leading provider. It builds on LightSpeed’s original GBP55 million backing from AtmosClear Investments, Kompass Kapital and Thesaurium bringing total funding to date to GBP115 million.
