Shore Capital Partners is in advanced discussions with Silver Lake Management over the proposed merger of two major veterinary groups, Southern Veterinary Partners and Mission Veterinary Partners, in an $8.6bn transaction, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The report cites unnamed sources close to the negotiations as revealing that the proposed deal would see Shore Capital combine its two veterinary portfolio companies and recapitalise the resulting entity with significant backing from California-based Silver Lake.
Under the terms being discussed, Shore and Silver Lake would co-own the newly formed company, with each firm expected to contribute approximately $4bn in fresh equity to support the merger and fuel future growth.
