Sidley has appointed Germaine Nicole Gurr as an M&A and private equity partner in the firm’s New York office. Gurr, who comes to Sidley from White & Case’s M&A practice in New York, has past experience as both a global corporate lawyer and a former executive at Schneider Electric, a global Fortune 500 company.
Gurr, whose corporate practice serves clients across the world in diverse industries, has represented clients in a wide array of matters, primarily focused on M&A, private equity, securities offerings, capital raising, joint venture and commercial transactions, and general corporate.
Gurr also regularly serves as an advisor to global companies on legal and business considerations in corporate and commercial transactions, operational structuring and management, and compliance and governance matters.
