Law firm Sidley Austin has added three partners to its executive committee, the committee that exercises general authority over the affairs of the firm.
The appointments bring the current count to 45 members.
Samir A. Gandhi (New York), a partner since 2002, focuses his practice on private equity transactions and capital markets offerings. He represents domestic and foreign fund sponsors, investment banks and other private investors in their private equity and venture capital activities and regularly represents investors, including private investment funds, in foreign direct investment transactions oriented towards Asia.
Michael P. Goldman (Chicago), a coordinator of the firm’s insurance practice and a partner since 2000, focuses his practice on the corporate representation of insurance companies and other insurance entities, with a focus on acquisitions, divestitures and corporate reorganisations.
Myles C. Pollin (New York), a partner since 1991, focuses his practice on capital markets and corporate transactions, including structured finance, funds, corporate finance and restructurings. Pollin is co-head of the firm’s New York structured finance and securitisation practice and one of the coordinators of the firm’s task force on restructurings and distressed investing activities.
