The Finance Durham Fund, established by Durham County Council and overseen by Business Durham, the business support service for Durham County Council, has invested GBP185,000 in Project Control Tools, as part of a GBP300,000 funding package.  The investment through Finance Durham, which is managed by Maven Capital Partners (Maven), will provide the business with a relocation package as it expands to open a site in County Durham, as well as allowing the business to invest in its in-house product development to grow its portfolio, and enhance its sales and marketing function. Heydoc, an integrated clinical operating system and electronic health record (EHR), has closed a USD8.3 million Series A round led by Smedvig Capital with existing investors Hambro Perks, Triple Point Ventures and InHealth Ventures also participating. This brings the total amount raised to date by Heydoc to USD12 million.    The new funding will be used for further expansion in the UK healthcare market, where Heydoc is rapidly growing, and to expand its product offering to its existing and new clients. ClimateView, a Swedish climate action technology company, has secured EUR10 million in funding to enhance its ClimateOS platform and make it available in additional markets in Europe, North America and beyond.  The funding round was led by CommerzVentures, a specialist fintech investor, and NordicNinja, a Nordic-Japanese venture capital fund. Norrsken, 2050. VC and Gaingles also took part in the round, bringing the company’s total investment to EUR14.5 million. California Tacos is to acquire OnPlate, a mobile app technology company. California Tacos owns and operates California Tacos Fast-Casual restaurants, Bandito Hot Sauce, and Bag-it-to-go Mobile app technology. Upon the closing of the transaction, scheduled for 27 October, 2021, California Tacos will merge Bag-it-to go mobile app technology with OnPlate and consolidate all mobile app technologies under the OnPlate technologies brand going forward. MDOTM, a European specialist in AI-driven investment strategies, has completed a EUR6.2m Series B fundraising. The funds will accelerate MDOTM’s international expansion, double the size of its teams in London and Milan, and see the company open a new office in the US.
