Global professional services provider Suntera Global has been granted a licence to provide fund administration services in Jersey. Awarded by the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC), the new licence enables Suntera Global to support private equity, real estate, venture capital and other alternative fund managers with a full range of administration services from Jersey, from fund set-up and structuring, through to back-office reporting and accounting, and governance and oversight.  The new licence complements the Group’s existing fund administration capabilities through its highly experienced teams in the Cayman Islands, Bahamas and Isle of Man who support the needs of fund managers
Sandvik has signed an agreement with Battery Ventures to acquire US-based Cambrio, a company with an end-to-end portfolio in CAD/CAM software for manufacturing industries like automotive, transportation, energy, medical and aerospace.   “This is in line with our strategic focus to grow organically and through acquisitions in the advanced manufacturing space, with special focus on industrial software close to component manufacturing, industrial metrology- and additive manufacturing solutions. Partners Group has agreed to acquire a 24.9 per cent equity stake in Apex International Corporation (Apex), a globally integrated logistics solutions provider, on behalf of its clients.  Upon closing of the transaction, Partners Group will join majority shareholder Kuehne+Nagel Group, one of the world’s leading logistics companies, with a seat on the Apex Board. Sandberg Capital, through the Sandberg Investment Fund II, has acquired a stake in the fast-growing Czech technology company Daktela, which focuses on providing complete solutions for contact centres and communication with customers. 
Hiber AB, the platform that enables people to create interactive 3D experiences such as games, no coding skills required, has taken USD15 million in Series A funding, led by EQT Ventures. This brings Hiber’s total funding taken to date to almost USD20 million, giving the company the capital it needs to further accelerate the growth of its social entertainment network, Hiber. Isorg, a pioneer in Organic Photodetectors (OPDs) and large-area image sensors, today announces a capital increase of EUR16 million in series C financing.  Two major industrial investors, Sumitomo Chemical Co Ltd and Mitsubishi Corporation, participated in the round. Rest Less, a digital platform for the over 50s, has raised GBP6.1 million (USD8.5 million) to further expand its services for its members. Nauta Capital, a pan-European venture capital firm investing in capital-efficient B2B software companies, has launched a new initiative to support pre-seed deeptech European startups.    Named Nauta Labs, the specialist venture programme will offer pre-seed B2B deeptech companies capital to accelerate their concepts and grow into the next generation of Europe’s deeptech category leader.    According to the European Commission, Europe’s ‘deeptech’ companies are worth a combined EUR700 billion, making Europe a rising digital power and a hotbed for deeptech startups to flourish.
