Sovereign Capital Partners, a UK private equity buy & build specialist focused on specific service-based sectors, has promoted four of its team to partner status – Jake Warman, James Buckhalter, Peter Eckersley and Tom Wilding.
Warman has been promoted to Talent Partner and will have an enlarged focus on Board development and other management enhancement activities. He joined Sovereign in 2014, before becoming an Investment Director in 2017 and then a Director in 2019. Prior to Sovereign, Warman was a Director at Skillcapital and started his career as a solicitor.
Buckhalter has been promoted to Investment Director. He joined Sovereign in 2019 as an Investment Executive from strategy consultancy Monitor Deloitte, and became an Investment Manager in 2022. He specialises in the financial and professional services sectors and played an instrumental role in Sovereign’s investment in LB Group.
Eckersley has been promoted to Investment Director. Since his recruitment in 2020, he has supported the firm’s investment in Skerritts, led the subsequent Skerritts bolt-on programme, and worked on our recent purchase of a majority stake in LB Group. Eckersley joined Sovereign from Fenchurch Advisory Partners.
Wilding has been promoted to Investment Manager. He supports investment activities with a compliance, cybersecurity, data analytics and consultancy focus in the UK and European markets, with examples including Zenitech and Data Intellect (formerly AquaQ Analytics). Wilding joined Sovereign in 2019 from La Fosse Associates.
