Sullivan Street Partners, a UK-based mid-market buy-out firm, has acquired UK Addiction Treatment Group (UKAT), the UK’s largest residential addiction treatment group with over 200 beds across eight residential facilities.
UKAT specialises in comprehensive care and rehabilitation services for alcoholism, substance abuse, and wider behavioural health conditions. The business, which is headquartered in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, was co-founded by Daniel Gerrard, the current CEO, in 2012. UKAT was acquired by Global Growth (then ELI Global), a North Carolina-based investment firm in 2018.
According to a press statement, Sullivan Street will support UKAT’s plan to expand the number of facilities and service offerings over the next five years.
Sullivan Street Partners was advised by Taylor Wessing, PwC and RSM with commercial due diligence provided by Connell Consulting.
