Summa makes cybersecurity investment

Summa Equity has acquired a majority stake in cybersecurity operations specialist Logpoint, investing from its €2.3 billion Summa Equity Fund III, which focuses on thematic investments in resource efficiency, changing demographics, and tech-enabled transformation.

The fund is supported by close to 70 diverse institutional investors.

According to Summa, the acquisition builds on its track record of incorporating the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framework in its investment decisions. With Cybersecurity Ventures estimating that cybersecurity will cost the global economy €7.6 trillion in 2023, Summa says the Logpoint acquisition adheres to UN SDG No9 by supporting a resilient infrastructure, and SDG No16 by supporting effective, accountable and transparent institutions and public access to information.

Following the Summa investment, Yttrium (formerly Digital+ Partners) will remain a significant minority shareholder in Logpoint.
