Summer Street Capital appoints Amy Standing as CFO

Summer Street Capital Partners, a Buffalo, New York-based private equity fund, has appointed Amy Standing as chief financial officer.

Concurrently, Summer Street’s current CFO, Ron Fleissner will begin his transition into retirement.
Standing joined Summer Street in June 2013 from Discover Financial Services, a publicly traded direct banking and payments company.  At Discover, Standing worked in business development and as chief of staff.  She has over 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, tax and risk management, which is complemented by her strong background in SEC reporting and compliance.
"The breadth of Amy’s core competencies and experience made her an excellent fit," says Brian D’Amico, managing partner. "Her strong technical foundation, as well as her proven strategic, operational, and communication skills will be a tremendous asset for Summer Street."
Since joining Summer Street in 2001, Fleissner has been responsible for Summer Street’s financial administration and reporting. He also managed investor relations and oversaw SBA and SEC compliance.
"Ron has been a strong contributor to the growth of Summer Street over the last twelve years.  We wish Ron, our colleague and our friend, a healthy and successful retirement," says Mike McQueeney, managing partner.  During his transition, Ron will continue to work closely with Amy and Summer Street prior to his full retirement.
