Summit Partners, a growth-focused private investment firm, has appointed Ricardo Gonzalez as a Partner on the firm’s Growth Products & Services team. Gonzalez joins from New Mountain Capital, where he served as a Managing Director.
Gonzalez brings more than 15 years of investing and operating experience to the role and will focus on businesses and talented executives in the financial services, consumer, business services and industrial technology sectors.
Gonzalez joined New Mountain in 2018, and during his tenure led investing and operating activities across high-growth services sectors. Previously, Gonzalez served as a Director at Hellman & Friedman, as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, and in sales and marketing roles at Eli Lilly & Company.
Gonzalez holds a BS in physics, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the City College of New York, an MS in biological engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a PD Soros fellow, and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
