Procare Software, a portfolio company of private equity firm TA Associates, and a specialist in child care management solutions, has completed an acquisition of KidReports, a provider of real time reporting technology and services to child care providers.
This strategic acquisition creates a “one-stop” solution designed to meet the complete management and parent communication needs of child care businesses and organisations.
The world’s largest provider of child care management software, services and hardware, Procare offers desktop and cloud hosted solutions that allow for automated collection of tuition, fees and other payments, as well as modules to track student attendance, immunisations, menus and meals, parent and emergency contact and other information. Procare serves more than 35,000 child care providers in a variety of facilities from single-unit operations to multinational enterprises. KidReports’ software as a service (SaaS) web-based reporting system allows providers to create a secure personal online profile of each child to track their activities and communicate with parents. Providers can share photos, videos and other information, and profiles can be updated hourly or daily, allowing parents to stay connected with their children throughout the day. KidReports’ software automates a number of providers’ administrative tasks, replacing paper daily reports, providing online and secure data storage, and aiding with license compliance.
“We are thrilled to welcome KidReports, the established standard for classroom management and parent engagement, to the Procare family of products and services,” says JoAnn Kintzel, President and CEO, Procare Software. “The combination of Procare’s comprehensive suite of child care software and services, and KidReports’ real-time reporting framework and infrastructure provides an all-in-one unbeatable solution for child care organizations of all sizes.”
“We’re very pleased to join the Procare Software team,” says Leif Ullman, CEO and Co-Founder, KidReports. “Together, our products and services will further expand Procare’s market leadership and address the increasing demand from millennial parents for frequent and informative communication to track their children’s learning and progress while under a provider’s care. We are confident that Procare and KidReports’ combined child care management software and services offering will allow providers to easily meet this need while modernising their operations, growing enrolment, and saving time, money and resources.”
Greg Krupa, COO and Co-Founder, KidReports, says: “We are proud to contribute to the child care industry with this much-needed all-in-one solution, which furthers our core mission to give child care and early childhood development providers the tools and time to deliver quality care to children, and to communicate efficiently and effectively with their parents.”
