Tech PE firm Clearhaven raises $580m for Fund II

Clearhaven Partners (Clearhaven), a Boston-based software private equity firm focused on investments in the technology sector, has closed its sophomore fund, Clearhaven Fund II, with more than $580m of capital commitments, above target and at its hard cap.

Clearhaven, which invests in growing lower middle market software and technology companies with revenues of approximately $20m to $100m. closed Fund II approximately two years after the closing of its debut fund.

Limited partner commitments for the fund came predominantly from continuing investors from the firm’s inaugural fund as well as several new investor relationships, including endowments and foundations, pension funds, insurance companies, family offices, funds-of-funds, and industry executives.

M2O Private Fund Advisors acted as placement agent to Clearhaven for Fund II and Kirkland & Ellis LLP acted as legal counsel.
