Thomas H Lee Partners (THL), a private equity firm investing in middle-market growth companies, has appointed Mark Forbis, an industry veteran with 40-years experience in financial technology and services, as Executive Partner.
In his new role, Fortis will support the firm’s efforts in identifying, sourcing, and growing investment opportunities across the bank technology sector.
Prior to joining THL, Forbis spent over 30 years as an executive at fintech Jack Henry & Associates where he most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. During his time at Jack Henry, Forbis led the company’s national technology strategy and the development of numerous transformational banking technologies.
Forbis remains actively engaged across many sectors of the fintech ecosystem and currently serves on the boards of IncredibleBank, Citizens Bank, Teslar Software, Digital Check Corp., InvestorKeep, and Allied Payment Network.
To date, THL’s Financial Technology and Services team has deployed $10.3bn of fund and co-investment capital and partnered with 32 companies.
