Three Hills, a private markets investment firm specialised in providing bespoke capital solutions to entrepreneurs and management teams in Europe and North America, has invested in Sinewave, a UK-based provider of grid connection and maintenance services for EV charging, solar and battery storage, data centres, and other energy infrastructure applications.
Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Swindon, England, Sinewave designs, installs, and maintains high- and low-voltage electricity networks up to 400 kilovolt (kV), delivering turnkey solutions across the entire lifecycle of infrastructure projects.
Three Hills has acquired a significant minority stake in Sinewave, combining preferred equity and senior secured debt, in line with its strategy of providing flexible capital solutions to support the growth ambitions of middle market businesses.
Sinewave has delivered exceptional performance over recent years, marked by outstanding revenue and profitability growth, with continued growth supported by a substantial contracted backlog. Positioned at the heart of the UK’s energy transition, the company is well placed to capitalise on the accelerating demand for EV infrastructure and renewable energy deployment.
In parallel, Sinewave’s operations directly support Goal 7 of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (Affordable and Clean Energy). Moreover, its B Corp certification and carbon savings reporting demonstrate a deep commitment to sustainability, aligning closely with Three Hills’ impact strategy.
