Tikehau Capital appoints CIO of Private Equity

Tikehau Capital has appointed Emmanuel Laillier as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of its private equity division, as part of an initiative to align its governance structure with international best practices, according to a report by PE Hub.

Laillier, who previously headed the private equity team, will now focus primarily on capital deployment and investment decisions. Meanwhile, leadership responsibilities will be shared by a newly formed six-member team, designed to strengthen the firm’s global operations. The leadership team includes: Pierre Abadie (Group Climate Director, responsible for fundraising and investor relations); Mathieu Badjeck (Co-Head of Decarbonisation Strategy, leading investments in France); David Martin (Co-Head of Iberia, overseeing Latin America, Spain, and Portugal); Roberto Quagliuolo (Co-Head of Italy, managing investments in Italy and North America); and Henri Marcoux (Deputy CEO of Tikehau Capital, overseeing cybersecurity, aerospace, and defence strategies).

Tikehau’s private equity strategy continues to focus on four core investment themes: decarbonisation; cybersecurity; aerospace and defence; and regenerative agriculture. The private equity division now manages €6.5bn in assets, employs a team of 60 professionals across seven countries, and holds a diverse portfolio of more than 60 companies.

Tikehau’s recent investments include acquiring a controlling stake in Juan Navarro García, a leading processor and distributor of paprika and oleoresins, as well as entering exclusive negotiations to sell LMB Aerospace to Loar Group.
