London-headquartered private equity firm Tioopo Capital has made the first close of its inaugural fund, Tioopo TP1, at 40% of its €80m target.
The fund, which has already completed its first acquisition in France and is in talks for its second investment in the UK, was backed by anchor investors and family offices across the Middle East and Europe, according to a press statement.
Tioopo Capital was founded in 2021 by Cyril Aboujaoude, Grégoire Louisy and Shahan Sarkissian, investing in SMEs across France and the UK. In April, the firm added Philippe Duval, former CEO of Edmond de Rothschild, as a senior advisor.
