Tonka Bay Equity Partners (Tonka Bay) has appointed Shawn Cappello as a director. In this role, Cappello will assist in the execution of the firm’s overall investment activities.
Prior to joining Tonka Bay, Cappello was a senior director of corporate development at Albertsons Companies Inc, a national grocery retailer. Previously, he was a vice president at Cerberus Capital Management, an operationally-focused private equity firm. While at Cerberus, Cappello was responsible for all aspects of the private equity investment lifecycle, including buy side and sell side deal execution, and portfolio management.
Before Cerberus, Cappello worked at Credit Suisse in the Investment Banking division, advising global industrial and business services companies.
Cappello is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Finance.
