Total Capital adds three to leadership team

UK-based private investment firm Total Capital Partners (Total Capital) has made three senior appointments as the firm continues to grow and expand its investment activity, following the exit of portfolio company Outco in July 2025.

Simon Rowan joins as a Partner and Investment Committee Member, while Simon Brown has been appointed Finance Director, and Ben Redmond takes on the role of Chairman.

Rowan brings 17 years of experience in UK mid-market private equity, including 14 years at Dunedin LLP. He has spent the last three years as a Partner at Averroes Capital, and prior to that was a Partner at Dunedin. Brown was previously Chief Operating Officer at Lion Capital. He has also held roles as COO and CFO at Equistone, CFO at Cognetas and COO at Five Arrows. Redmond co-founded and co-ran Risk Capital Partners for 22 years. He joined the firm as a Senior Advisor just over a year ago.

As a Partner, Rowan will focus on originating and transacting deals in profitable, cash-generative UK businesses with EBITDA of £3m–£10m and requiring £10m–£50m of capital. Total Capital typically takes equity stakes of 30–70%, supporting management buyouts, entrepreneur cash-outs and growth or acquisition opportunities.

Total Capital’s investment model focuses on a single source funding approach, providing both debt and equity for SMEs to support their growth.
