Independent venture capital firm Truffle Capital, which focuses on creating and financing start-ups with disruptive technologies in life sciences and information technology, has appointed Maud Lazare as the company’s Director of Investor Relations.
Under the supervision of Truffle Capital’s three existing partners Patrick Kron, Philippe Pouletty and Bernard-Louis Roques, Lazare will also handle the company’s communication and marketing.
Lazare, who graduated from Paris Dauphine University with a Master’s degree in Scientific Management Methods, and from Paris VI University, with a Master’s degree in Mathematics, began her career as a trader in the Equity Derivatives department of BNP Paribas.
Turning to Asset Management and Commercial Development, she then worked from 1998 to 2008 at Richelieu Finance and from 2008 to 2013 at La Française Bank, getting involved in commercial development with both retail and institutional clients. She then joined a multi-family office, Massena Partners, where, in addition to managing a portfolio of private clients, she handled the company’s marketing and communication, including for private investments. In 2017, when Massena Partners split off its Wealth Management and Private Equity activities, Lazare took over Investor Relations at the new entity in charge of private investments, Essling Capital.
