UBS appoints Managing Director in EMEA LCM

Bruce MacKenzie will be joining UBS as a Managing Director in EMEA LCM. MacKenzie is a high yield capital markets professional who was previously European Head of Leveraged Capital Markets at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London, and prior to that spent 10 years at Deutsche Bank.

MacKenzie is very well regarded by a number of our private equity and corporate clients as well as key high yield investors.
At UBS, MacKenzie will sit alongside Abudy Taha and report directly to me. Abudy and Bruce will focus on both loans and high yield bonds, capitalising on their respective relationships with clients.
MacKenzie is a critical hire for the EMEA LCM business and fills a gap in our lead left credentials for high yield bonds. Together with the recent hire of Damien Hedderwick as a Director from Credit Suisse the investment in the European LCM business has generated significant momentum over the last 12 months. Our recent lead left role on the LBO of Stada by Bain Private Equity and Cinven together with leading roles on recent deals for CVC, Advent, BC Partners and Blackstone demonstrates the capabilities we now have in Europe alongside our more established product franchises.
