Vauban Infrastructure Partners appoints new investment director

Vauban Infrastructure Partners (Vauban) has appointed Olivier Guerrini as investment director. He joins the firm’s 40-person investment team, with individuals based in Paris and Munich. Guerrini will be joining the Paris team. He brings expertise across the energy transition, complementing Vauban’s existing capabilities.

Guerrini will play a key role in the origination process across Europe, leveraging on his network and expertise to identify and secure investment opportunities within Vauban’s Value-Add Transition Strategy and broader infrastructure sector through strategic bilateral partnerships.

He brings over 20 years of global experience across major utilities and IPPs, with a track-record in origination, development, financing, construction, O&M, and scaling business units, benefitting from a expertise in renewables and green gases, battery and hydroelectric energy storage systems, and PowerFlex-type energy solutions.

At TotalEnergies from 2020 to 2025, he created and expanded the renewable gas activities in US, Europe, and India to 1.5GWh of production capacity, and later scaled up flexible energy storage to more than 1GW of battery assets mainly in Germany.

At ENGIE and SUEZ from 2008 to 2020, he held senior positions in renewables, energy recovery, and green gases businesses, including technology, digital transformation, global operations, and business development, supporting financing, delivery of new assets, and operational excellence. He is recognised for building and integrating new business lines, forging strategic partnerships and leading international teams across Europe, North America, and other key markets.
