Maor Investment, one of the 10 most active Venture Capital funds in Israel, has held the first closing of MAOR II, its second fund, at over USD150 million, 75 per cent of its target.
Maor II has also made its first investment in SupPlant, an Israeli Agritech that offers innovative irrigation solutions to growers.
More than 90 per cent of the investors in the predecessor fund Maor I have committed to teh more fund along with new French and European LPs.
Maor Investments now expects Fund II to reach USD200 million at Final Closing, with allocations between First and Final Closing mainly reserved for institutional investors who have already expressed their interest in Maor II.
Maor II will pursue a similar investment strategy, targeting the most promising and fast-growing Israeli technology companies and provide them with business opportunities in Europe.
