Vorsprung Management appoints ex-Credit Suisse Partner

German mid-market private equity firm Vorsprung Management has appointed former Credit Suisse executive Joachim Ringer as Partner, as the firm looks to strengthen its investment capabilities and drive strategic growth across Europe, according to a report by Bloomberg.

Ringer, who most recently served as Head of Investment Banking for Germany at Credit Suisse, brings over two decades of experience in M&A and capital markets advisory.

Prior to his tenure at Credit Suisse, he held senior roles at Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley. He currently sits on the board of Paul Tech AG and is a co-owner of an engineering company, according to his LinkedIn profile.

At Vorsprung, Ringer will focus on identifying and executing investments in European mid-sized businesses, with a particular emphasis on value creation and portfolio expansion.

Vorsprung Management specialises in equity investments in established small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the DACH region. Its current portfolio includes ZSB Zwickauer Sonderstahlbau GmbH, a steel bridge construction firm, and Schrader Umweltmanagement AG, a provider of landscaping and forestry solutions.

Germany’s SME sector, the Mittelstand, continues to attract private equity interest, as generational transitions and macroeconomic challenges prompt a growing number of family-owned businesses to explore new ownership structures.
