Willkie adds two private equity partners

Willkie Farr & Gallagher has appointed Gavin Gordon and David Arnold as private equity partners in the firm’s London office.

The pair, who were previously partners at Kirkland & Ellis, have worked on some of the most notable private equity deals in the UK and Europe.

“Gavin and David, two well-established leaders in the market, are a terrific addition to our premier private equity platform, and to our London office,” says Willkie Chairman Steven Gartner. “They join Claire McDaid, widely regarded as being one of the top private equity practitioners in the market, and a team that has added tremendous value to our clients and to our success. This new complement of talent further deepens our bench and benefits our clients worldwide.”
“Our international private equity practice has seen tremendous deal growth with a successful track record advising multiple European and US sponsors on complex cross-border transactions,” says partner Claire McDaid. “We are very pleased to welcome Gavin and David to the team.”

“Willkie has one of the most attractive cross-border private equity platforms and a stellar reputation across both the European and US markets, making it an ideal fit for our practice and continued growth,” says Gordon.

“We are thrilled to join such a talented and collaborative team and are looking forward to working with the team on their continued success,” says Arnold.

Gordon represents predominately sponsor clients on leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and infrastructure transactions.

Arnold’s practice is focused on cross-border mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions for both financial investors and corporate clients.
