Daniel Lopez has joined Willkie Farr & Gallagher as a Partner in the firm’s San Francisco office within its Private Equity Practice Group, effective March 2025, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Lopez will focus on advising private equity funds and their portfolio companies on a broad range of strategic transactions, including leveraged buyouts, disposals, carveouts, debt financings, growth equity investments, and secondary transactions. He brings particular expertise in working with sponsors in the technology and life sciences sectors.
In addition, Lopez will provide counsel to boards, special committees, investors, and other key stakeholders on matters such as fiduciary duty, securities law, corporate governance, and equity compensation.
Lopez joins from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, where he spent 13 years, first as an associate, and then as a partner.
