Wilshire Advisors has been selected by the California Public Employees’ Retirement System as a consultant for the pension schemes’ private debt asset class, according to a report by Chief Investment Officer.
The decision was made at CalPERS board meeting last week.
Private debt was added as a new strategic asset class to CalPERS investment strategy last November, with a 5 per cent asset allocation to private credit.
