Private Equity company Yellow Brick Capital has appointed Johan van Zyl as CEO of I-Feeder Technologies (UK), a company which is now part of the YB AgTech Ecosystem.
The appointment comes after I-Feeder Technologies, a plant nutrition hardware and technology company, relocated the company headquarters to the UK from South Africa in 2020. van Zyl was appointed as COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Yellow Brick Capital at the end of last year.
Born in South Africa, van Zyl gained a degree in Management Accountancy from the University of Stellenbosch. In 2000 he took over as Managing Director of I-Feeder Technologies South Africa. Whilst there, he transformed the company through profitability and strategy. The company achieved major success in Africa with prominent growth in Sudan, Egypt, Namibia, Ghana, Uganda and Zambia. In 2020, van Zyl partnered with Yellow Brick. Since becoming part of Yellow Brick Capital’s YB AgTech, I-Feeder Technologies (UK) have opened branches in Nebraska and Brazil. The company has also been able to integrate other YB AgTech technologies into its offering including fertilisation software Smart Fertilizer.
As CEO of I-Feeder Technologies (UK), van Zyl will continue to grow the company with plans to open more global branches. I-Feeder Technologies will also be working with other agricultural technologies that sit under the YB AgTech umbrella with exciting updates set to be revealed in the coming months.

I-Feeder Technologies, a precision fertigation original equipment manufacturer, was created in South Africa 40 years ago and has since shaped the fertigation industry. Since relocating to the UK and becoming part of YB AgTech, I-Feeder Technologies has expanded its offering and has since opened an office in Nebraska, USA, Brazil and assigned exclusivity to a global player to support the products in Australia.
