Yellow Wood makes Suave move

Consumer-focussed private equity firm Yellow Wood Partners has acquired Unilever’s Suave beauty and personal care brand, which includes hair care, skin care, skin cleansing and deodorant products, in North America. Suave will continue to be owned and operated by Unilever outside of the US and Canada.

Consumer-focussed private equity firm Yellow Wood Partners has acquired Unilever’s Suave beauty and personal care brand, which includes hair care, skin care, skin cleansing and deodorant products, in North America. Suave will continue to be owned and operated by Unilever outside of the US and Canada.

The sale is part of Unilever’s strategy to focus on “strategic growth spaces” according to Esi Eggleston Bracey, President of Unilever USA and CEO of Unilever Personal Care North America.

Financial terms of the transaction, which is expected to close in the second quarter of 2023 subject to regulatory approvals and closing conditions, have not been disclosed.
