ACA Aponix expands portfolio company review and diligence offering

ACA Compliance Group has appointed Chad Neale as a managing director with ACA Aponix, its cybersecurity and risk division.

Neale comes to ACA from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he was the director of cybersecurity and privacy/information security architect. In his role at PwC, Neale provided cyber assessment services to clients in various industries including financial services, healthcare, technology, energy, and entertainment.

Prior to PwC, Neale served as vice president, information security officer for First Allied Securities.

At ACA, Neale will oversee and enhance the portfolio company review and diligence offering, which provides private equity and venture capital firms with cyber assessments of their portfolio companies, both as part of pre-deal diligence and post-deal risk management. These assessments help PE and venture firms negotiate better deals, manage risks, and preserve their investment value through technology and cyber risk oversight throughout the portfolio company lifecycle. ACA Aponix’s team offers cross-domain expertise in IT and cybersecurity diligence, from processes around software development and code review to deep network security testing to IT governance best practices.

“It is critical that firms take steps to protect their investments from cyber-attacks,” says Marc Lotti, partner at ACA Aponix. “Chad’s wealth of knowledge in information security across many verticals will help us expand the breadth of due diligence cyber assessments we conduct. We know that many portfolio companies face cyber-attacks due to IT security shortcomings, and we are excited to offer our clients unique expertise in assessing these risks.”
