Macfarlanes advises August Equity on closing of GBP300 million fifth flagship fund

Macfarlanes has advised UK-based private equity firm August Equity Partners on the raising of its latest flagship fund, AEP V, which has closed at its hard cap of GBP300 million, exceeding its target of GBP275 million.The fund was oversubscribed, with over 40 per cent of the new capital coming from the US and Canada, comprising pension funds and endowments.

 
The Macfarlanes team for this matter was led by investment management partner Stephen Robinson with assistance from investment management senior solicitor Henry Stewart-Brown. Tax advice was provided by partner Mark Baldwin with assistance from senior solicitor Penny Van den Brande.
