The awards, which were presented at an exclusive ceremony and networking event today (27 September) at the Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel in London, have been created to benchmark, acknowledge, and reward the efforts of private equity firms that have created sustainable and sector-leading ESG policies at both the portfolio company and management firm level in Europe.

The entrance process employed a simple set of questionnaires tailored to each award category, with questions based on industry feedback and the expertise of EthicsGrade. To make the judging process fair and transparent the model was skewed towards quantitative questions versus open and subjective ones.
