Software investment specialist Thoma Bravo, in partnership with Sunstone Partners, a growth-oriented private equity firm, has completed its acquisition of UserTesting Inc, a specialist in “video-based human insight”, in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $1.3 billion.
Software investment specialist Thoma Bravo, in partnership with Sunstone Partners, a growth-oriented private equity firm, has completed its acquisition of UserTesting Inc, a specialist in “video-based human insight”, in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $1.3 billion.
The acquisition, which was first announced on 27 October, 2022, was approved by UserTesting stockholders at a special meeting on 10 January, 2023.
Under the terms of the transaction, UserTesting stockholders will receive $7.50 per share. UserTesting’s common stock has now ceased trading and will be delisted from the New York Stock Exchange.
Thoma Bravo intends to combine UserTesting with existing portfolio company UserZoom, which it acquired in April 2022, with UserTesting CEO, Andy MacMillan set to lead the combined company.
