Amberjack Capital Partners, a private equity investment firm focused on the industrial, infrastructure and environmental sectors, has exited its investment in Best Trash, with a sale to HIG Capital.
This transaction marks Amberjack’s second exit from its environmental services and waste strategy in the last twelve months, following the sale of Milestone Environmental Services last year.
Headquartered in Richmond, Texas, Best Trash is a municipal solid waste and recycling platform serving the greater Houston metro region. Its customers include municipal utility districts, homeowner associations, cities and individual residences.
Amberjack first invested in Best Trash in 2021 and has overseen the expansion of its operating area and customer base, according to a press statement. The company now provides services to over 450,000 homes.
Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
