One Equity Partners (OEP), a middle market private equity firm focused on the industrial, healthcare, and technology sectors in North America and Europe, has completed a majority investment in industrial automation and robotics company Comau, making Stellantis an active minority shareholder.

Comau is a global technology company specialising in industrial automation and advanced robotics.

As part of the deal – which makes car-maker Steallantis an active minority shareholder – Comau’s Executive Chairman Alessandro Nasi and Chief Executive Officer Pietro Gorlier will continue leading the company.

In a press statement, Ante Kusurin, Partner at One Equity Partners, said: “Comau is a leading industrial automation company with significant growth potential and first-rate robotics technology. OEP is well-positioned to help drive Comau’s next phase of growth as an independent company utilising our industry expertise and established operational playbook for carve-out transactions.”

Headquartered in Turin, Italy, Comau has an international network of 7 innovation centres and 12 manufacturing plants that span 12 countries and employ 3700 people.
