Victory Park Capital (VPC), a global alternative investment firm specialising in private credit, has promoted Justin Maleson to Managing Director of the firm’s legal credit investment strategy.
Maleson, who joined VPC in 2024 as Assistant General Counsel, will co-head the strategy with Chad Clamage, Managing Director and work closely Hugo Lestiboudois and Andrew Pascal who are dedicated to the strategy. Richard Levy, VPC CEO, CIO & Founder will continue to oversee the strategy.
In his expanded role, Maleson will be responsible for sourcing, analysing, executing, and managing investments within the legal industry. He is a member of the firm’s Legal Credit Investment Committee. Maleson also assists with oversight of the firm’s legal operations in his role as Assistant General Counsel.
VPC’s legal credit team is comprised of veteran litigators, legal finance investors, and seasoned private credit professionals. The firm takes an asset-backed lending approach to the legal asset class, emphasising downside protection and current income streams.
Previously, Maleson was a director at Longford Capital, where he was responsible for originating litigation finance opportunities, conducting due diligence, and managing commercial investments.
