Nordic Capital has secured €5bn in commitments for its latest flagship buyout vehicle, Nordic Capital XII, reaching half of its €10bn target just five months after launching fundraising, according to a report by Bloomberg citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.
The Stockholm-headquartered firm is expected to hold a first close in early October, with a final close planned for 2026. If successful, Fund XII would rank among the largest private equity vehicles currently in market.
Nordic Capital manages around €34bn in assets and has remained active on the exit front despite a muted fundraising environment. Portfolio company NOBA Bank Group AB, backed by Nordic Capital and Sampo Oyj, has announced plans for a third-quarter IPO in Stockholm, with Nordic set to partially realise its stake.
