Pharos Capital Group, a private equity firm based in Dallas and Nashville, has promoted Joseph Acevedo from associate to vice president and Ryan Shelton from analyst to associate.
The promotions were effective 1 June 2009.
Both Acevedo (pictured) and Shelton work in the firm’s Dallas office.
Acevedo will continue to help lead deal execution and due diligence and will increasingly be responsible for monitoring the firm’s portfolio companies. He will also become more active in deal sourcing. He played an integral role in Pharos’s 2008 investment in American Beacon Advisors, the former asset management subsidiary of AMR Corporation.
Shelton will oversee due diligence and contract review for the firm’s deals and work closely with chief financial officers of portfolio companies. He will continue to have significant involvement with Pharos’s portfolio companies, including Converge, Pioneer Surgical Technology, StreamServe, and Travel Holdings.
‘Both Joe and Ryan have already contributed immensely to our firm’s success over the last few years and we are pleased to be able to recognize their talents and their hard work. We value their commitment to our firm and are proud to be able to recruit and retain people like Joe and Ryan here at Pharos,’ says Michael Devlin, co-founder and partner at Pharos Capital.
