Kelso Place Asset Management LLP (Kelso Place), the special situations investor, has appointed Philip Dougall as Partner. The appointment takes Kelso Place’s London-based investment team to nine.

Prior to joining Kelso Place, Dougall was Managing Partner of Hudson Capital Partners LLP, a consulting firm focused on providing credit solutions for UK mid-market/SME businesses.
From 2003 to 2009, Dougall was the CEO and Managing Director of Sun European Partners LLP, which invests in underperforming and distressed European businesses. As the founding Managing Director of Sun’s European business, Philip was instrumental in developing Sun’s franchise in Europe into one of the leading players in the turnaround market.
Dougall spent twelve years, from 1991 to 2003, with Lehman Brothers, ultimately as Managing Director and Co-head of the firm’s European telecommunications practice. Dougall served with Chemical Bank from 1986 to 1989 in Europe and the United States. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, with First Class Honours, from the London School of Economics and Political Science and his Masters of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business, New York University.
