Middle market private equity firm Kelso has selected the iLEVEL Private Capital Data Platform to automate its quarterly review process and track its investment performance in greater detail.
“We realised that we had developed the need for a portfolio monitoring platform that could help us track and monitor our performance more efficiently, but wanted to make sure the technology could do everything we needed,” says Howard Matlin, chief financial officer of Kelso. “iLEVEL has emerged as the clear leader in this space and we believe its implementation will be transformational for our business.”
The majority of private equity firms are modelled to operate leanly, with most resources dedicated to delivering investment returns. A technology like iLEVEL is designed to create more efficiency and place fewer burdens on the fund manager, while maximising client service capability. iLEVEL allows managers of private capital to store all of their performance data in a single central repository, where they can demonstrate value creation, reduce the cost and complexity of regulatory compliance, and meet the increased demands of investor reporting. iLEVEL’s capabilities include automatically completing the reporting templates which limited partners request during fundraising and reporting to investors on an ongoing basis.
“Private equity firms exist in an environment of increased investor scrutiny and data requests. iLEVEL gives these firms a more efficient way to monitor their data, and provides the detail needed so managers can provide LPs the information they need,” says Kevin Black, CEO of iLEVEL. “We are excited to have another prominent middle-market manager like Kelso on the iLEVEL platform.”
