Justin JX Cai has joined Duane Morris & Selvam’s corporate, banking and finance practice groups as a director in its Shanghai office.
Cai’s appointment further strengthens the firm’s corporate capabilities in Asia.
He joins Duane Morris & Selvam from MWE China Law Offices, McDermott Will & Emery’s strategic alliance office in China.
Cai focuses his practice in the areas and industries of M&A, joint ventures, outbound investment, project finance, real estate, private equity/venture capital, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigation, labour law, foreign exchange compliance and customs law.
He has more than 12 years of private practice experience in China and has advised on more than 60 M&A, joint venture, outbound investment, private equity, real estate and financing projects in various industries.
Cai has also provided numerous legal services to foreign-invested enterprises in China. Most of the clients that he represents are market leaders in their respective industries.
