Council Capital partners with CNNH

Council Capital, a healthcare-focussed private equity firm based in Nashville, has invested in The Center for Neurological and Neurodevelopmental Health and The Clinical Research Center of New Jersey (CNNH).

Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Headquartered in Voorhees, New Jersey, CNNH provides neurology-led medical assessment, testing, and treatment for children and adolescents with neurological, developmental, learning, and neuropsychological issues. CNNH is focused on providing innovative and coordinated care for patients and families including a comprehensive array of assessment, treatment, and support services in office, school, home, and community environments.

CNNH’s interdisciplinary team of experts works individually and collectively to address each patient’s and family’s unique concerns. In addition, through the Clinical Research Center of New Jersey, CNNH provides access to clinical research for infants, children, adolescents and adults with neuro-developmental disabilities, neurobehavioral and neuropsychiatric disorders, brain injury and other neurological problems. This integration allows for patients to continually have access to the most cutting-edge therapies and treatments.

Eric Keen, General Partner at Council Capital, says: “CNNH has an innovative and effective Specialty Care Medical HomeÓ model to offer comprehensive care and support services for children and adolescents with neurological, neurobehavioral, learning and/or developmental issues. In addition to supporting CNNH’s current operations, we are focused on expanding this comprehensive care strategy to a wider array of patient populations and locations. We look forward to supporting the CNNH team in their current mission while also working to further develop and build the organisation to support further growth.”

Dr Mark Mintz, Chief Medical Officer and Founder of CNNH, says: “We have developed an unparalleled and innovative health care delivery system for neurologically impacted populations that is value-based and cost-effective, resulting in exceptional patient outcomes. Our unique approach that focuses not just on symptoms, but an understanding of biological causes and contributions to difficult and complex neurological disorders, can help patients and families put an end to long and frustrating journeys seeking answers and finding solutions. We decided to partner with Council Capital for our next stage of growth because of their success in working with fast growing healthcare companies and the resources and relations they can bring to achieve our long-term goals and expand clinical services to patients and families.”
